Install LAN HTTPS Certificate

Use this page to download and trust the internal LAN certificate for inventory.lan. Once trusted, browsers on your device will stop showing certificate warnings.

Install on macOS

1. Download the certificate from the link above.
2. Open Keychain Access.
3. Select the System keychain.
4. Import the file: File - Import Items....
5. Open the imported certificate, expand Trust, set When using this certificate to Always Trust.
6. Close and authenticate with your admin password.

Install on Windows

1. Download the certificate from the link above.
2. Open the certificate file and click Install Certificate....
3. Choose Local Machine.
4. Select Place all certificates in the following store.
5. Choose Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
6. Finish the wizard and accept the security prompt.

Edge and Chrome use the Windows trust store. If Firefox still warns, configure Firefox to trust enterprise/system roots.

Install and Trust a .crt Certificate on iPhone (iOS)

iOS requires two steps:

1. Install the certificate profile.
2. Explicitly enable full trust for root certificates.

Step 1 - Get the Certificate Onto iPhone

Click the download link and save it into your default downloads folder.

Step 2 - Install the Profile

Settings - General - VPN & Device Management

1. Tap the certificate profile.
2. Tap Install.
3. Enter passcode.
4. Tap Install again to confirm.

At this point the certificate is installed but not yet trusted.

Step 3 - Enable Full Trust (Critical Step)

Settings - General - About - Certificate Trust Settings

1. Under Enable Full Trust for Root Certificates, find your certificate.
2. Toggle it ON.
3. Confirm.

Step 4 - Test in Safari / Brave (iOS)

Brave on iOS uses Apple WebKit and the iOS trust store, so once trusted system-wide it works in Safari, Brave, Chrome, and other iOS browsers.

After install, visit https://inventory.lan/products to verify there are no certificate warnings.
